C.A.M.P. has issued a product recall for the most recent model of C.A.M.P. Nimbus Lock carabiner with the affected batch numbers that were sold between October 2023 to July 2025. Retailers will withdraw from sale these carabiners affected by this recall. C.A.M.P. has requested that users immediately stop using the affected batch numbers and return them for inspection.
The Climbing Anchors team have emailed our customers who may be affected by this recall notice. Please see details below for more information on how to inspect your Nimbus Lock carabiner and how to return it if it is listed in the recall notice.
C.A.M.P. has received a limited number of notifications concerning the failure of the spring mechanism that activates the closure of the gate on the Nimbus Lock carabiner. The issue is easily identified if the carabiner is opened completely and does not automatically return to its closed position. In affected units, the spring mechanism will break and the gate will not return to its closed position.
The issue does not affect the strength of the carabiner when it is locked. There have been no reports of injury. C.A.M.P. is issuing this recall for inspection on all Nimbus Lock carabiners from those batch numbers out of an abundance of caution and recommends that customers stop using their Nimbus Lock carabiners until they can be inspected by C.A.M.P.

The batch number is found on the bottom of the carabiner, on the side listing the technical strength markings and certification.

C.A.M.P. wishes to guarantee the best quality and functionality of all its products, and is issuing this recall for inspection on all Nimbus Lock carabiners. C.A.M.P. recommends that customers stop using their Nimbus Lock carabiners until they can be inspected.

C.A.M.P. is in the process of making an inspection on ALL Nimbus Lock carabiners for the affected batch numbers. All units from the specified batch numbers should be returned promptly for inspection.
The recall procedure is the same as described above, however Nimbus Locks without proof of purchase from an Australian retailer will only be eligible for a replacement.
Please send a photo of your carabiner to our customer service team on info@climbinganchors.com. They will instruct you further as to whether your carabiner is affected by this recall.
