STANDARD
Improved basic finishing of dynamic ropes. The new technological process enables the application of impregnation agents early in the standard finishing of the ropes. The result is an excellent water resistance and abrasion resistance as well as extended lifespan of TENDON ropes.

I bought this rope about 2.5 years ago (yellow, not blue like new model). I found it very smooth through the belay device, easy to knot and quite durable. I go out pretty much every weekend if I can, and do plenty of top rope as well as lead and use it with another 9.7 as double ropes on multipitch. Handles repeated rappelling when needed just fine (for a dynamic). Gave it a thrashing at Arapiles last year, to the point there was bad sheath damage on one section, so I chopped it and now it's a 55 m. Also have dragged it about on rough granite, and on seacliffs and sharp stuff in southwest WA. Seconded others who've taken some healthy falls on lead too. I've just bought another in Protect shield but am still using the old one for now.
From experience this rope is every bit as good as other brands, if not better with the smooth sheath.
