Front Range Freaks isn’t one movie as much as 10 short ones. Varying from serious and touching to silly and illegal, Peter Mortimer spoils us front range climbers by using all local climbs, showcasing them in the best light possible. Many of the climbing vignettes are exciting, with a heavy focus towards committing trad leads. 5.12x, 5.13s, 5.12a s/vs, and 5.11d s trad climbs are climbed placing gear on lead. It’s not for shock value or crazyness; all of these climbers are clearly focused on the seriousness of it. Combined with that is the music and audio. It’s mixed mostly with techno beats. Strangely, that lack of heavy music makes the scenes MORE intense, rather than less. If you’re a front range climber, you’re going to love it. Check it out!
