Loading... Please wait...This belay station / top anchor is great for multipitch belay stations or abseil points due to its simple set up with multiple points you can clip gear to.
from fixe:
“Our chains with ring at one end have been conceived to be used as a belay system in multi-pitch routes as well as a rappel stance in speleo, canyonning and difficult to descend walls. It is possible to clip any part of the unit with a carabiner which should always have a locking gate. The ring is placed perpendicularly to the wall so that it eases the retrieving of the rope”

These are a great anchor, they give lots of attachment options, they're great for adding two captive wiregate carabiners to become a clip and lower, they put the two bolts at different heights, which can be good on terrain where lots of horizontal breaks as you can get the bolts into different blocks.
Between these and the fixe double ring hangers, I don't think it's generally worth making your own anchors. Just buy these.
