We currently have money available fore rebolting work. please contact us if you plan on replacing some bolts as we may be able to supply some hardware.

How often have you clipped a bolt that has made you take a second look? you will be happy to know that there is a committed bunch of climbers throughout the country that are replacing these rusting time bombs. This is a very costly exercise in terms of Time and Dollars. Please note that rebolting is replacing old bolts (bolt for bolt) and is not retro-bolting (adding bolts where previously there were none).
If you are able to contribute to this cause please contact us. Any contribution we receive on behalf of an organisation will be forwarded in the form of appropriate supplies ensuring your donation is actually put towards rebolting equipment. On top of that we will add our own contribution. It all counts no matter how little! The further we can make the donations and money go the more routes can be fixed. Alternatively think about routes you have been on recently. Have the lower offs been extensively top roped on, are they beginning to show signs of wear? A simple way that you can prevent further damage from occurring is to add some twisted shackles.

Where does the money go?
it goes to a variety of rebolting sources. In NSW alone their are a number of different people involved in rebolting. We give rebolters bolts, glue, drill bits, nozzles or any other piece of hardware they require in order to rebolt. The equipment we pass onto them is still only a small percentage of the total cost so they end up wearing the extra financial costs themselves.

What difference does rebolting make?
last year people climbing at PC in Nowra were clipping a chain anchor on one of the routes. The dodgy chain link was broken off by hand. Thankfully a double ring lower off has now been added. There are many more anchors and runner bolts like this at plenty of crags throughout Australia. Please consider supporting your local rebolters.
